Correction

A story in the Aug. 16 edition of the Daily News, "Deputy sheriff claims harassment," said a federal lawsuit alleged Lt. John Quinlan wasn't helpful when sheriff's deputy Stacey Moody complained that she had been sexually harassed.

Although the lawsuit made separate references to a "Lt. Quinlan" and a "Sgt. Quinlan," the plaintiff's attorney says that he meant to refer only to Sgt. Quinlan, who is a separate employee in the Sheriff's Department. John Quinlan, who is now a captain, should not have been named in our story or referenced to in the lawsuit. The Daily News regrets the error.
