Children snap photos with their cell phone cameras as Palo Alto and Menlo Park firefighters combat a landfill fire in Palo Alto on Wednesday. The smoke from the fire, first reported at around 5:15 p.m, blanketed neighborhoods in south Palo Alto and Mountain View.
BREAKING NEWS: Fire breaks out at Palo Alto landfill
Firefighters from Palo Alto and Menlo Park are fighting a fire at the Palo Alto landfill today. The fire was first reported at around 5:15 p.m. and could be seen from Mountain View. Traffic on U.S. Highway 101 near Embarcadero Road has slowed down.
